Since 2016, most Dept. of Defense (DoD) contracts have required cybersecurity compliance with the NIST SP 800-171 controls. After several false starts, the proposed enforcement rules known as CMMC 2.0 were published in December 2023 and are expected to become effective in early 2025 when requirements will begin appearing in DoD contracts. CMMC Certification will become a condition of award; those that fail to achieve certification in time risk becoming ineligible to receive an award. To achieve CMMC compliance, defense contractors must implement and maintain a complex web of security controls and requirements that span in-office systems, external cloud services, and well as internal policies and procedures.
In this 45-minute informational session, NeoSystems’ Stuart Itkin and Deltek’s Michael Greenman discuss a unique approach to secure data and support CMMC compliance requirements to help simplify your compliance journey.
Topics include:
- An overview of CMMC and why government contractors should be preparing for certification right now.
- A description of potential risks and liability and how they can be mitigated.
- A discussion on a unique and effective strategy for CMMC compliance readiness that leverages Managed Services and Cloud Services from two leading providers to Government Contractors.
- Shared Responsibility w/ MSPs (Managed Service Providers) and CSPs (Cloud Service Providers).
