NeoSystems Appoints Laurie Powers as New Chief Marketing Officer

Ms. Powers will report directly to NeoSystems Chief Executive Officer Michael Tinsley.
In this newly created position, Ms. Powers will lead all corporate, channel, and field marketing initiatives worldwide. Her team will be responsible for developing and executing marketing and communications strategies to drive growth, engagement, client satisfaction, and brand awareness.

With a keen ability to connect solutions, partners, and marketing to sales achievement, Ms. Powers has over 25 years experience driving game-changing enterprise marketing programs and revenue generating partnerships with Fortune 500 companies, leading nonprofit organizations, and cutting-edge software vendors. Ms. Powers has held senior positions in all aspects of marketing including product marketing, corporate marketing, communications, channel marketing, lead generation, corporate strategy, alliances, stakeholder relations, event management, as well as digital and social marketing.
Prior to NeoSystems, Ms. Powers performed key roles in market-leading start-ups, top-tier firms and high-growth companies. Most recently, as Partner and CMO for the Upson Technology Group, she worked with Public Sector-focused clients and the Government Business Executive Forum (GBEF). Ms. Powers also spent seven years as Vice President of Partner Marketing and then Vice President of Alliances in Product Strategy & Management at Deltek, the leader in project-based ERP for government contractors and the professional services industry.
In addition to the software sector, Ms. Powers worked in the biotech, telecommunications, and management consulting fields. She served as the head of Marketing and Communications for the J. Craig Venter Institute (JCVI) and also managed field and partner marketing for integration leader webMethods (acquired by Software AG). While at WEBM, Ms. Powers was part of one of the most successful IPO’s in NASDAQ history. Ms. Powers also spent seven years at MCI (acquired by Verizon) where she led PR, branding, and corporate reputation campaigns to further erode AT&T market share. In addition, she ran product marketing for MCI’s Friends & Family, one of the most famous brands in Consumer Market history and helped grow the company to an $18 billion business.
Ms. Powers began her career as a financial management systems consultant with Price Waterhouse and PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in Washington, D.C.
