October 08, 2013 | BY: NeoSystems

Tysons Corner, Virginia/October 8, 2013 – NeoSystems Corp. today announced it has taken several steps to further strengthen and expand its cloud computing and information technology services through a comprehensive relationship with Amazon Web Services (AWS).  AWS is a collection of remote computing services that together make up what is now commonly known as a cloud computing platform, offered over the Internet, by

NeoSystems is now an AWS Partner and also among the first companies to be designated as an AWS Partner Network (APN) Standard Consulting Partner. Through the latter program NeoSystems will obtain many additional benefits that will assist its clients, including added technical and global traffic management support.

NeoSystems built its first back office computing infrastructure in 2003 using the concepts and constructs that are now referred to as “cloud computing”. The combination of NeoSystems’ Secure Private Cloud and any AWS Regional cloud, including the FedRAMP-compliant AWS Gov Cloud, can now provide the infrastructure needed to support those customers with highly complex, globally accessible and increasingly secure infrastructure requirements.

In addition to building and managing its private customer cloud, NeoSystems now has the expertise to design, architect, migrate, build and deploy applications on AWS, and optionally manage the environment and the applications as a Managed Services Provider.

Michael Tinsley, NeoSystems’ President and CEO said, “Our government contracting and nonprofit clients have always had very high standards and requirements for continuously accessible and secure access to their applications and data.”

“In addition, some of our clients have unique and important technological needs that can best be addressed by leveraging Amazon Web Services.  We look forward to discussing how AWS can provide efficient, cost-effective solutions, while enabling enterprises to customize their technological infrastructure to best serve their customers or service their missions. AWS becomes another tool in the NeoSystems back office toolbox,” said Mr. Tinsley.

About Amazon Web Services:

Launched in 2006, Amazon Web Services, Inc. began exposing key infrastructure services to businesses in the form of web services — now widely known as cloud computing. The ultimate benefit of cloud computing, and AWS, is the ability to leverage a new business model and turn capital infrastructure expenses into variable costs. Businesses no longer need to plan and procure servers and other IT resources weeks or months in advance. Using AWS, businesses can take advantage of Amazon’s expertise and economies of scale to access resources when their business needs them, delivering results faster and at a lower cost. Today, Amazon Web Services provides a highly reliable, scalable, low-cost infrastructure platform in the cloud that powers hundreds of thousands of enterprise, government and startup customers businesses in 190 countries around the world. Amazon Web Services offers over 30 different services, including Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2), Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3) and Amazon Relational Database Service (Amazon RDS). AWS services are available to customers from data center locations in the U.S., Brazil, Europe, Japan, Singapore and Australia.
